Description

"Device Mounting: Optimizing Access to Technology"

The Central AT Device Mounting Team will present different options for mounting tablets, computers, and alternative access devices that support student communication and other tasks essential to academic participation.   The request process for device mounting and lap tray fabrication within the NYC Public School system will also be reviewed.   Participants will then rotate through stations that highlight mounting solutions for various student setups, such as device attachment on standard classroom desks, adapted chairs (e.g. Rifton activity chairs), manual and motorized wheelchairs, and other positioning systems.  Furthermore, participants will be given opportunities to have hands-on interaction with some featured mounting equipment.
